Privacy notice
This notice explains how Business Growth Meetup (BGM) handles information when you visit our website or register for a meetup. Effective date: 5 November 2026.
1. Information you choose to provide
When you register for a BGM meetup, we may ask for your name, email address, WhatsApp number, professional role, industry, business or project stage, and answers to event-related questions. Some fields, such as a project name, LinkedIn profile, or additional context, may be optional depending on the event form.
2. How we use it
We use registration information to process meetup registrations, manage attendee lists and check-in, prevent duplicate registrations, communicate important event updates, and understand the needs and interests of the community so we can plan more useful gatherings.
3. Website analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand general website usage, such as which pages visitors view and how they navigate the site. Depending on how you interact with the website, analytics events may record clicks on meetup registration buttons, successful registration submissions, WhatsApp and social-channel links, blog article links, and navigation to the upcoming-meetups section. These events help us understand interest and improve the website; they do not include your registration answers or contact details. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies. You can manage cookies through your browser settings and review Google's information about how Google uses information from sites and apps.
4. Service providers and storage
BGM uses Cloudflare services to host the website, run its registration application, and store operational event records. These service providers process information as needed to provide their services. We do not display attendee contact details in public event listings.
5. Retention and security
We keep information for as long as it is reasonably needed to operate the community, administer events, respond to requests, and meet applicable obligations. We use access controls and platform security features to help protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
6. Your choices
You can ask us to correct or delete information you have provided, or ask a question about how it is used. To make a request, contact BGM through one of our official contact channels. We may need to verify that the request relates to you before making a change.
7. Third-party links and updates
Our website may link to external services, including social networks. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We may update this notice when our website or registration practices change; the effective date above will be revised when that happens.
